Resistance filmfest names jury panel members

The Resistance International Film Festival in Iran has announced the names of jury panel members.

The 16th edition of the event has introduced six jurors of the Main Competition section.

The jury members of this section are Mohammad Eslamlou, Mohammad Hamidi-Moqaddam, Mehrdad Oskouei, Marziyeh Hashemi and John James Yobell.

The annual Resistance festival is an attempt to commemorate the anniversary of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war, which is known as the “Sacred Defense” in Iran. To this end, the event runs in two different stages. The first one took place during the Sacred Defense Week from September 21 to 28 in Tehran.

The second part of the Resistance festival will be held from November 21 to 27 to celebrate the anniversary of Basij Day, which falls on November 25.
